Born May 21 1937 in Langdale Alabama she was the daughter of Braxton Doc B. Williams and Mary Askew Williams. An only child Joanna grew up in Langdale and attended Valley High School. Joanna was known for her funloving personality sense of style competitive spirit and love of travel. She was a longtime member of Fairfax United Methodist Church and retired from the Chambers County School System where she served for many years as secretary at Lafayette Lanier Elementary School. Even later in life Joanna never lost her playful spirit and loved entertaining her grandchildren by twirling batons and roller skating reminders of the energy and charisma that remained throughout her life.
