A private Interment will be held at a later date at Faith Memorial Cemetery.Mr. Baker passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was born and raised in Clay County. He worked building chicken houses and installing equipment, but worked primarily in the pulpwood industry as an equipment operator for most of his life. Mr. Baker enjoyed going fishing, swapping and buying tools, and attending trade days on the weekends. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever was needed to provide for his family. He began his working career at a pipe shop in Alexander City, followed by pulpwood operator and driver. He worked for Southland Manufacturing as a seam presser for several years and at Cal-Maine in egg processing, where he served as a plant operator and loader. Mr. Jason McAvery Cooper age 53, of Talladega, passed away on February 14, 2026 at his residence. No services are planned at this time.Jason, an Alabama native, served his country in the Army Reserves had worked for several years in the Heating and Air Conditioning business, most recently with Freeman Services. He was known to be generous, help his neighbors whenever he could and would often put others needs before his own.
