She grew up in First Missionary Baptist Church where she embraced our Lord and Savior at an early age. Most people fondly knew her as "Jack" "Jackye" or Ms. Jackye" as she always prided herself to be the smartest person in the room. She was a part of the National Honors Society at Carroll High School in Ozark Alabama where she graduated in 1970 before attending Howard University in Washington D.C. where she began her 20year career as a Legal Assistant. She returned to Ozark in 2009 continuing as a legal advocate and supporter of her community while caring for her mother. Joel Warren is the Pastor. Services will be at 1100 oclock with the interment immediately following at the New Summer Hill Cemetery. Jesse L. Terry was the son of the late Rev. She graduated from Ozark Negro City High School and Alabama State University where she majored in and received her Degree in Elementary Education and History. She began her teaching career in Dothan AL. Doris was the rare social butterfly equally adept at moving in all circles and enjoying people from all facets of life.
