Robert Steven Moore age 74 passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Fayette on Wednesday April 1 2026. He was born in Tuscaloosa County on July 8 1951 to Robert and Charlene Moore. He was a graduate of Pickens County High School Bevill State Community College and the University of Alabama. He taught for the Fayette County Board of Education for 33 and a half years. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Lee Moore and Charlene Beams Moore and brother Charles Steward Moore. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Cynthia Herren Moore his daughter Christina Jeremy Howton granddaughter Josie Christina Perkins sister Vanessa Moore Davis nieces nephews and cousins. There will be a private service at Nelson Funeral Home on Saturday April 4 2026. Burial will follow at Fayette Memorial Gardens.
