Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 20 2026 at 11A.M. from Caines Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 68 P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Bobby Baker of Fayette two daughters Frances Baker Swanger and Leigh Ann Baker Williams Manning both of Northport one sister Joan Barnes of Fayette four grandchildren Brandon Swanger Caylee and Kayla Linley Hayden both of Fayette Mason Williams and Sarah Williams both of Tuscaloosa and two greatgrandchildren Slade Swanger and Jace Baker Linley. Mrs. Baker was a lifelong resident of Fayette. She graduated Fayette County High School in 1952. Gayle was employed by Citizens Bank of Fayette for over 30 years. Glendon "Scott" Tucker

Glendon "Scott" Tucker age 66 passed away on May 7th 2026 at his home in Fayette Alabama. He was born April 13th 1960 in Fayette Alabama a son of the late Glendon Vance Tucker and Lounell McDonald Tucker. Scott served his country in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1986 including more than two years at sea on a nuclear submarine. He used this experience and education to move to Texas where he began a long and successful career in the nuclear power industry retiring in 2021. Upon retirement he moved back to Alabama to be among family and to help care for his mother before she passed in 2023.
