Patricia Avis Counselman Rush age 88 died February 14 2026 at her home. She was born May 31 1937 in Campbell AL to Amos Bunyan and Wilma Irene Counselman. Patsy graduated from Vigor High School in 1955 and after that she courageously boarded a bus for nursing school in Birmingham and became the first one in her family to attend college and subsequently graduate with a nursing degree. She served as Alabama Gideon auxiliary president for three and a half years after serving in many capacities in the Clarke North camp and state chapter. She also served on the registration committee for the international convention for multiple years. As a fifty one year member of Bashan Baptist Church she served as pianist church clerk Sunday school teacher VBS director and witnessed to many during her time at Bashan. Cecil Ann Clarke

Linden, Alabama

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecil Ann Clarke. Ann passed away peacefully at her home on February 12 2026 at the age of 81. Her son Chris was holding her hand as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband of 60 plus years Murphy Clarke son Chris Clarke grandchildren whom she loved dearly Abe Clarke and Zoe Clarke and several cousins. Ann loved flowers and had a special gift for interior decorating for all seasons of the year. She always had her home well decorated. She was a gifted homemaker an avid Alabama football fan and a kind person who will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held at Henley Cemetery in Fulton Alabama on Tuesday February 17 2026 from 12 Noon until the 100 pm graveside funeral service time with Rev. Warren…
