She matriculated and graduated from Mother Mary Mission High School Phenix City AL in 1963. Deaconess Lowther furthered her education at Columbus Area VocationalTechnical School in Columbus GA where she received a certificate in Business Education in June 1967. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from American Technological University in Killeen Texas in December 1978.
