His parents were Christians hardworking individuals who emphasized education and taught him to give back to family and others. Booker T. A beloved educator sister and friend Hattie peacefully departed this life on Saturday March 28th 2026 at the age of 76. She resided in Talladega Alabama a place she dearly called home for many years though she was born in Lonoke Arkansas on October 8th 1949. Hattie was a dedicated member of Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. Hatties passion for education led her to touch countless lives during her career as a Physical Education Teacher with Talladega City Schools. Her dedication to teaching was matched by her academic achievements being an alumna of Scipio A. Jones High School Talladega College and Jacksonville State University.
