Born on Thursday November 26 1936 to Lessie Calhoun Heath and Jim Wiley Heath in Alpine AL John lived a life filled with dedication love and a commitment to his family and community. John dedicated his life to Christ at Kingston Missionary Baptist Church of Alpine Alabama where he remained a faithful member. In later years John attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Johns life was one of service and dedication. After graduating in 1956 from Phyllis Wheatley High School in Childersburg AL he embarked on a career as a maintenance mechanic. Over the years he worked for reputable companies such as Catalytic Inc. where he spent 12 years as well as Georgia Pacific Beaunit Mills and Alpine Bay. Beyond his professional life John found joy and fulfillment in farming hunting fishing working on cars and cooking his famous fried pies and sweet potato cobblers. He was an avid sports fan…
