Jons life reflected a steady devotion to learning and craft. He attended Marion Military Institute in high school an experience that helped shape his disciplined approach to the years ahead. He later graduated from UAB with a degree in Commercial Art bringing together creativity and precision in a way that would remain a hallmark of his work. Over the course of his career Jon applied his talents with care and professionalism. He worked for Longs Electronic served as a cartographer for CartoCraft and created newspaper advertisements for Handy City TV and Applianceroles that drew on both his artistic eye and his attention to detail. Beyond his work Jon found deep enjoyment in the things that made life rich and expansive. Charlene Helen Sargent Cleveland

Charlene Helen Sargent Cleveland of Alpine Alabama passed away on October 13 2026 at the age of 81. Born in Haverhill New Hampshire she was raised on a farm near Camp Hill Alabama and graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1963. She graduated from the Sylacauga School of Nursing in 1967. In 1995 while working fulltime she completed a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Jacksonville State University. Charlene married Alfred Cleveland in 1966 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Camp Hill. They were married for 60 years and had two daughters Laura and Mary Ann. She worked at the former Sylacauga Hospital early in her career. She then transitioned to state service working for the Talladega County Health Department Child Development and the Alabama Department of Rehab Services SAIL program as a Nurse Case Manager. She retired in 2008 with 32 years of service with the State of Alabama.…
