L.C. Russell was born on January 31 1943 in Alexander City Alabama to the late Marie Russell Sutton and Cornelius Russell. At an early age L.C. accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Laurel High School and was a member of the Class of 1962. L.C. peacefully transitioned at his home on August 6 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents his brother Robin Man Russell and three sisters Lula Mae Lil Bit Tolbert Mabys R. Colvin and Geraldine Bunt Robinson. Known for his warm personality and love of life L.C. never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. Ms. Geraldine Tootsie Marbury was born July 14 1947. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bessie M. Thomas. A woman whose life reflected unwavering faith compassion and devotion Geraldine gave her life to Christ many years ago. She worshiped faithfully at Marietta Baptist Church where she served as an usher and president of the choir lifting her voice and spirit in service to the Lord. She later joined Paradise Mission Full Gospel Worship Center continuing her walk with Christ as a dedicated and loyal member. Geraldine was known for her strong work ethic and her loving heart. In her early years she worked diligently at The Child Development Day Care Chapman Nursing Home and Magnolia Manner where she served as a cook.
