William Bennett Peirce

William Bennett Peirce, known commonly as Billy, was born in Michigan on April 13, 1954 to Elaine Elizabeth Dubois and Robert Wendell Peirce. Billy spent time in Michigan, Maryland, Virginia and Oregon before settling in Alaska. In Virginia, he married Barbara Berger and they had a daughter, Christine Rochelle Peirce in 1976.By the early 1980s, Billy followed his Dad to Alaska to work in the telecommunications field. In 1982, Billy married Mary “Helen” Carty in Dillingham, Alaska where he worked as a Telephone Technician for Nushagak Cooperative. Together they had two children, Courtenay Elaine and Collin James.Later in life, Billy settled in Seldovia where he spent the rest of his days. Billy passed peacefully in his sleep on February 8, 2026. He is survived by his children and grandchildren.
