Eva M. Martinez beloved mother grandmother greatgrandmother and friend entered eternal rest on February 12 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Eva was born on July 16 1943 in Santa Rita New Mexico to Leopoldo and Angelina R. Marrufo and was raised in Hurley New Mexico. She met the love of her life Silverio Tony Martinez while he was employed as a carpenter at the New Mexico University. The two were united in marriage on November 16 1968 and shared 33 wonderful years together. They later relocated from Las Cruces to Winkelman where tony accepted a position with the local copper mine. There Eva devoted herself to raising their children Amy Nancy Adam and Tracie and made Winkelman their home. Eva was preceded in death by her husband Silverio Tony Martinez her daughter Nancy M.
