Neaomie Reeves Ryan was born October 4 1932 in Bradford Arkansas to Homer and Gladys Reeves. She grew up surrounded by family alongside her three brothers Don Jim and Roy Gene and her sister Wanda Ruth. Bright and determined from an early age Neaomie graduated from Bradford High School as salutatorian before continuing her education at Arkansas State UniversityBeebe. It was there that she met a young man named James A. Ryanand the love story that would shape so much of her life began. James apparently wasted very little time making his intentions known. On their very first date he presented Neaomie with a pair of baby booties and told her to keep them for their first child.
