Mary Evelyn Hufstetler, 72, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on February 23, 1954, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Melvin “Sandles” and Floyevelyn (Sewell) Bean.Mary was preceded in death by her parents.Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Raina Finley and her husband, Jason, of Greenwood, Arkansas; her son, Grayson Hufstetler of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her brother, Robert Bean and his wife, Paula, of Van Buren, Arkansas; her sister, Nancy Blair of Little Rock, Arkansas; and two beloved grandchildren, Bryston and Meredith “Meri-Grace” Finley.Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.A family held memorial service will be held at Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Friday the 16th of October.
