Laurie was a member of the Scotland Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland. She loved Sister Sheila and her church family dearly. Laurie married her best friend and love of her life Bowie Jimmy Black. They were married for 5 years and had been together for over 17. She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair sockfooted right beside Bowie on the front porch working in her garden and tending to her flowers and plants. She was an avid collector of lighthouses. She enjoyed stock car racing with her dad Delmer and Mark Martin being her favorite driver. Ronald Jay "Gyro" Johnson born May 3 1945 in Rockford Illinois passed away Thursday August 62026 leaving behind a life marked by service family and a deep love for the Ozarks. Ronald was born to Carl Oscar Johnson and Nettie Ericka Johnson. As a young man he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps and proudly served during the Vietnam War. After returning home from Vietnam Ronald helped his sister Nancy move to Arkansas. During that time he discovered the beauty of the Ozarks and quickly fell in love with the area. What began as a trip to help his sister became the beginning of a new chapter in his own life as Ronald chose to make the Ozarks his home.
