George Autrey McCrary 86 of Fayetteville passed away on February 13 2026 in Fayetteville. Many knew him as Doc or Dr Mc. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday February 16 at First Baptist Church Fayetteville The "Prank" of all pranks was back while we were stationed at LRAFB in the late 60s. My wife Jackie an RN was quickly employed at Rebsamen Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville where she worked for a couple of years before going to work for Dr McCrary as his nurse. During that time a deep bond of friendship developed between his family and ours. We sparred often over his beloved Razorbacks and my Texas Tech Red Raiders. Of course the Razorbacks usually always won. Our first child was to arrive in June 1970.... back in the days where husbands were not allowed in labor nor delivery. After hours of labor I was summoned…
