She was born on May 23 1923 in Harpursville New York and spent her childhood growing up on her parents egg farm in New York State where she learned the values of hard work resilience and community that would guide her throughout her life. Virginia married her first husband Ed Wilske in 1943 in Elton Maryland. Their time together was cut short by his passing in 1950. In 1951 she married William Mynock in Reno Nevada with whom she shared many years until his death in 1974. Following Williams passing Virginia moved to Oroville California where she made her home with her brother and sisterinlaw Robert and Harriet Marten. There she built a life rooted in family faith and service. Virginia was well known in her community for her warm and welcoming spirit.
