Mary Jane C. Hirschfeld Coleman was born on July 25 1941 to Joseph and Fabiola Staab Hirschfeld in Sedgwick Colorado. Jane was the oldest of five children. The family lived on a farm in between Sedgwick and Ovid and attended school in Sedgwick. Jane enjoyed everything about the farm. She drove the tractor in the fields and a truck at beet harvest to the factory in Ovid. Jane had one speed only and that was fast. She had a 1958 Chevy that could move she raced everyone. That was all through her life not just racing but in everything she did she expected her siblings to do the same but that didnt work out that way. The family moved to Snyder just north of Brush CO when her dad decided to do more of ranching than farming. Jane met Dean C. Coleman and married on September 9 1967. To this…
