Vernard H. Atkinson of Dover DE passed away on Tuesday February 3 2026 at Bayhealth Kent General Dover. Vernard was born in Dover DE the son of the late Alvin and Mae Halladay Atkinson. He was an over the road truck driver all his life. During his trips he enjoyed communicating on his CB radio his handle being the Egg Man He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church where he was a member of the Royal Rangers. He enjoyed collecting coins saving pennies and collecting pocket knives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Pearl Norman. He is survived by a son Vernard H. Atkinson II a brother Alvin Atkinson Jr. and two sisters Norma Crisco and Irene Gordon. Harold David Gallery Jr. of Lincoln DE passed away peacefully on Monday February 9 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born in Gloucester MA the son of the late Harold David Gallery Sr. and Elizabeth Mary Clark Gallery. He worked as an ironworker and welder early in his career. Harold worked on many of the high rises in Ocean City MD and on the second span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to name a few jobs. He also worked with the operating engineers involved in dredging the bays and doing beach replenishment. Harold loved the outdoors enjoyed cutting the grass with his lawnmower was an avid bike rider and would ride his bike for miles. He also was an avid pool player and was trained in karate.
