James R (Ricky) Williams passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 02/13/2026. Ricky lived most of his life in Athens Georgia. He was born on 04/24/1954 to the late James T and Ruth Naomi Williams.Ricky was an only child and therefore he was spoiled rotten. As a young child he would drive his go-cart to school at Whitehead Rd Elementary School. To prevent it from being stolen he would remove the spark plug and store it in his pocket. He had many fond memories of his time spent at the Athens YMCA and was one of Corbin Kelly's boys. He often spoke of the trip to California and his time at Big Y camp in Tallulah Falls GA.He graduated from Athens High/Clarke Central in 1972. Jeffrey Ronald Brown was born in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa, and moved to Bay County, Florida in 1969. He was a proud graduate of Mosley High School, Class of 1977. Jeff had a lifelong love for the water – fishing and working on boats brought him some of his happiest moments. He especially enjoyed his time working on charter boats along the Gulf Coast.Following his passion for service and adventure, Jeff joined the U.S Navy and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.Jeff is survived by his loving stepmother, Diane Brown, who selflessly cared for him and previously for his father. The family deeply appreciates her compassion and dedication.He is also survived by his three sisters, Sheree Waters and her husband John Edward “Eddie” Waters, Diane Harte, and Rebecca Allen and her husband Michael Allen, who will cherish his memory forever.
