James W. “Bubba” Parmer, 76, of Panama City, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2026. He was born on January 27, 1950, in Eufaula, Alabama, to Mary Elizabeth and Oscar Parmer, Jr.James was a 1968 graduate of Bay High School, where he proudly played football and served as captain of the football team. Following high school, he honorably served his country in the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. His service to his country was a source of great pride throughout his life.In 1980, James graduated from the electrical program at Haney Technical Center. He went on to work for Stone Container Paper Mill, where he served as a third assistant for many years. Patricia Alice “Pat” Boone, age 81, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, surrounded by people who loved her.Pat was born July 17, 1945, in Plainfield, Indiana, to Herbert and Edna Thompson Boone. Her childhood took her from Indiana to Minnesota, Tennessee, and eventually Albany, Georgia. Even in those early years, Pat possessed the independence, determination, and adventurous spirit that would characterize her throughout her life. In Albany, she learned to water ski and participated in water ski shows, an early indication that Pat was rarely content to simply watch life from the sidelines.She began college at South Georgia State College, later attended Kennesaw State College, and completed her teaching degree at West Georgia in Carrollton.
