Salvador Aleguas Jr. 91 of Melbourne Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 2 2026. A man who lived life entirely on his own terms Salvador will be remembered for his unwavering positive mental attitude his historic contributions to the Space Coast and his deep devotion as the patriarch of the Aleguas family. Born on November 6 1934 in Coln Republic of Panama to Salvador Aleguas and Hilda Mahfood Salvadors life was defined by adventure service and ambition. He served with distinction in the U.S. Navy during the 1950s and the time of the Korean War traveling throughout Europe before returning to Florida to witness history firsthand. In the 1960s Salvador played a remarkable role in the American space program.
