Vernon Daniel Kitler 93 went home to be with his Lord Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday February 12 2026. He was born in Jacksonville Florida on October 31 1932 and was the son of the late Shelley Washington Kitler and Nellie Louise Dunkley Kitler. Following high school he enlisted in the US Army and served from January 26 1953 to January 25 1955 and attained the rank of CPL and received the Good Conduct Medal and National Service Defense Medal. Upon returning home he married the love of his life Edith Stokes on April 27 1956 and they were married 68 years. Mr. Kitler was the owner of Vernon Kitler Contractor Inc. for more than 60 years. He was extremely talented and built the beautiful home that he and his wife lived in for almost 70 years. He also went on Assembly of God missions trips to help build churches…
