Dunn Gary Poet Dunn age 76 of Jacksonville Florida passed away on April 1 2026. He was born in Vallejo California on January 16 1950 to the late Howard Dunn and Frances Mobley Dunn. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps Gary served his country with honor and distinction earning two honorable discharges during his time in the military. His commitment to service extended far beyond his military career. After graduating from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Gary dedicated himself to helping others as a mental health counselor. His work touched countless lives and reflected his deep belief in the power of kindness and understanding. Garys bravery and selflessness were exemplified one day at work when he faced an extraordinary situation with courage and composure. A woman entered with a gun and took another person hostage.
