At just 17 years old he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably as a tractortrailer driver carrying out his duties with discipline reliability and quiet pride. The skills and values he gained during his service remained with him long after his time in the Marines guiding him into a lifelong career as a professional tractortrailer driver a job he performed with the same dedication he brought to everything he did. Karl was married to the love of his life for 43 years a partnership marked by devotion steadiness and the kind of everyday companionship that becomes its own legacy. William was the third son born to Oscar Raymond and Susan Ann Underwood in Clearwater Florida on May 14th 1955. He spent numerous years as a truck driver and helping with the clamming and mullet businesses out of Cedar Key Florida. William thoroughly enjoyed fishing loved music his family and was always the type to stay in touch. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Susan Underwood and his brother Robert Ellis Underwood. He is survived by his brothers Stan UnderwoodJann James E. UnderwoodJoyce and John W. UnderwoodGale. As well as two very close cousins that resided in North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.
