Deaconess Sadie Murphy Young was surrounded by family as she peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 28 2026.Sadie was born September 12 1944 in Nahunter Georgia to the late James Murphy Sr. and Corene Smart Murphy Cox. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Union Missionary Baptist Church in Dunnellon Florida. Sadie was a faithful deaconess dedicated usher as well as a member of several choirs. Deaconess Young attended Booker T. Washington High School. She later retired from the Marion County Public School System. Deaconess Young was proceeded in death by both parents James Murphy Sr. and Corene Smart Murphy Cox dearly beloved son Reverend Michael T. Murphy Sr. and siblings James Murphy Jr. Loretta McKeever Eugene Murphy Ellen Watts Henry Murphy Dr. Glynn Murphy Wayne Murphy and Robert Murphy.
