It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Nancy June Hess of Callahan Florida who passed away peacefully on March 8 2026 at the age of 84. Nancy was born in Chicago Illinois. At the age of 19 she moved to New Orleans Louisiana where she met the love of her life John Hess. After just three months the two were married on April 24 1961 beginning a partnership that would last 64 years. Nancy immediately embraced the adventurous life of a Navy wife as the newlyweds were soon deployed to Japan. Two of her daughters were born there with the third born in California. Wherever the Navy sent them Nancy made a loving home for her familyeach destination filled with treasured memories from camping in the Alps to climbing the Tower of Pisa in Italy.
