Lewis Glen Barberree 88 of Crestview Florida passed away on March 29 2026 at North Okaloosa Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Glen was born on March 19 1938 in Baker Florida. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1957 and went on to live a life marked by service integrity and deep faith. Glen devoted nearly three decades to a distinguished career in law enforcement. He began as a game warden before serving as a deputy sheriff and later as a detective with the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office. In 1989 he graduated from the FBI National Academy a significant professional achievement that reflected his dedication and excellence in the field. That same year he was honored as Outstanding Law Officer and Police Officer of the Year and received the Sheriffs Office Safety Appreciation Award.
