She was born on November 20 1943 in Jasper Alabama to Leon Dodd and Willie Farris Dodd. After the tragic loss of her mother at a young age Patti moved to Clearwater Florida where she was lovingly raised by Winnie and Dillard Hudson who became the true foundation of her life. There she grew up alongside her brother Jim. She was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband Rupert Loyd Davis. Their time together was cut short when he passed away at the age of 44 but their love remained with her always.
