Myra Ellen Silverstein, 77, of Coral Gables, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born on October 28, 1948, Myra lived a life filled with passion, leadership, and dedication to her family, friends, and career.A proud alumna of Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Special Education and St. Thomas University with a master's in Family Counseling, Myra dedicated her life to education. She began her career as a special education teacher but quickly rose through the ranks due to her exceptional leadership skills. From teacher on special assignment to assistant principal and eventually a beloved principal, Myra left an indelible mark on every school she led. Her talent and dedication earned her numerous awards throughout her career. Known for her spirited declaration that "it's good to be the queen," she returned to her true calling as a principal after briefly stepping into higher administrative roles.Myra's zest for life extended…
