Adam Smith 26 of Port Orange passed away on Mothers Day May 10 2026 leaving behind a legacy that will live on through the many lives he touched. Adam was born in Daytona Beach on September 3 1999. As the youngest of a large and loving family Adam was known for his quiet nature patient spirit and kind heart. Though softspoken he had a steady presence that drew people to him throughout his life. As a proud Cuda Adam graduated with the Class of 2018 from New Smyrna Beach High School where he also played for the Barracudas Baseball Team before attending Daytona State College. Throughout the years Adam also played for Edgewater Little Leage and Cuda Travel Ball teams where his love for baseball continued to grow. Baseball remained on of the greatest Passions of Adams life. He was the son of Forrest and Mamye Breckenridge. They moved to DeLand when Gary was in the 4th grade. Gary graduated from DeLand High School in the class of 1965. He was president of his class and starting quarterback of the football team. Gary graduated from Valdosta State College with a degree in Business. After graduating he moved back to DeLand to pursue his career as a Project Control manager in the Industrial Engineering industry.
