Eddie J. Knope Sr. 84 of Marietta Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday May 10 2026 following a courageous 15year battle with dementia. Born on November 28 1941 in Morgan City Louisiana Eddie was a proud son of the Bayou State who carried the warmth and spirit of his hometown with him throughout his life. He graduated from Morgan City High School in 1960 and went on to earn a business degree from Nicholls State University in 1967 where he laid the foundation for the life he would build for his family. In 1969 Eddie married the love of his life Mary Kay Spinella beginning a partnership and love story that would define him. Ben was the beloved son of the late Leonard Payne Shoaf and Jane Warren Shoaf. He graduated from Wheeler High School and later attended Southern Technical Institute. He went on to build a successful career with Lockheed Martin where he held many positions over more than 30 years before retiring in 2022. In 1988 He married the love of his life Jayne Moore and they spent the next thirtyeight years together before his passing. Ben worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family and he found joy in the simple things that brought people together. Tony was born in 1950 to Ralph and Louise Pickelsimer. He was preceded in death by his parents his beloved wife of 54 years Brenda Pickelsimer and his son Kelly Pickelsimer. A lifelong resident of the Marietta area Tony graduated from Wheeler High School. In his early twenties he followed in his fathers footsteps and founded Tony Pickelsimer Drywall a drywall contracting business that he owned and operated for more than 40 years. Tony and Brenda worked side by side building the business and serving their customers with dedication and integrity until their retirement in 2020. Tony was a devoted husband father grandfather and greatgrandfather who cherished spending time and making memories with his family above all else.
