Constance Anderson Calhoun was born October 24 1935 in Atlanta. She grew up in Midtown and moved to Buckhead as a teen graduating from Northside High School in 1953. Majoring in religion at Randolph Macon Womens College Connie graduated in 1957 after forming many close friendships with students there. Her love of travel took her on a summer college seminar in India and a fourmonth tour of Europe with friends after graduation. In 1960 Connie married the love of her life C. Merrell Calhoun and they raised their three children Martha Charles and John. As Atlanta became a busy convention city in the 1960s Connie joined TourGals a company that provided tours of the city rising to the position of director of training of new guides. Andrew Pinckney Straughn

Andrew Pinckney Straughn died at home on October 1st at age 88 from complications of Alzheimers. Pinckney was born at home in Purdue Hill Alabama in 1937 to Mary Palmer Gaillard Straughn. His father died two months before Pinckney was born so he was raised by his wonderful mother grandmother two aunts and the people of his small community. He attended the local oneroom grammar school before continuing through the Monroe County school system and graduating from Monroe County High in Monroeville. Following high school Pinckney attended Auburn University earning a BS in Finance and following graduation moved to Atlanta where he briefly worked at Arthur Anderson as an auditor. Pinckney moved to the Trust Company of Georgia later Sun Trust and now Truist where he found true enjoyment connecting with and serving his customers.
