LuAnn Godbold Haywood age 90 of Greensboro Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday October 9 2026 at The Glen at Lake Oconee Village. Born on September 12 1936 in Pageland South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Thomas Marion Godbold and Alma Dorothy Henderson Godbold. She earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia College before going on to complete a Master of Education at Georgia State University. Before making her home in Greensboro she lived in Sandy Springs Georgia where she spent her career inspiring students as a primary school educator in Fulton County Public Schools as well as an Atlanta private school. Outside the classroom LuAnn was an active and devoted member of North Springs Methodist Church generously giving her time as a hospital candy striper volunteer and a dedicated election poll worker. Patrick "Pat" Deloney

Patrick Pat Freeman Deloney 65 of Stockbridge and Greensboro Georgia passed away peacefully on October 6 2026 surrounded by his family at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Pat was born on March 26 1961 at Kindley Air Force Base in Bermuda to William Charles Deloney and Peggy Elaine Quick Deloney. He grew up in Doraville Georgia and graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1979. At Sequoyah he played in the marching band with the drum corps and was on the football team his senior year. Pats career took him through Foote Davies PDQ Electronics Number One Parts Inc. NOPI Forsight Software Software Solutions Ross Systems Inc. Fibrenew and AAMCO Transmissions before he found his home at Georgia State University. He served there as Data Admin Lead for 12 years before retiring. Above all Pat was a loving husband father grandfather brother and son. Anyone who met him even once walked away…
