He was the fifth child born to the late Charlie Francis Tate, Sr. and Allene Virgina Griffin Tate.He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Kia Ife DeVeaux and Terry Tobias Tate, Jr.; his sisters, Jacquelyn A.
