Mrs. Ethel Delores (Gardner) LaBord, age 72, was born to Willie Gardner and Lillie Mae (Washington) Gardner on February 3, 1954, in Augusta, Georgia. She attended Lucy C. Laney High School and worked as a phlebotomist at University Hospital in Augusta.Ethel was joined to Calvin Coolidge LaBord, Jr. in holy matrimony on January 27, 1975. She was the mother of four daughters and was a homemaker for most of her life. Her favorite pastimes were cooking for family, friends and neighbors, gardening, fishing, and watching westerns. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord & Savior at a young age.Ethel was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Christopher Gardner, Sr. and Lawrence “Bo” Moody, Jr; and sisters, Julia Mae Lewis and Irene Tina Gardner.
