Yoshiko Imizo Kano affectionately known as Dimples passed away on August 3 2026 at Wilcox Medical Center. She was 101 years old. She was born on June 7 1925 in Lihue. Yoshiko began her career as a bookkeeper at Lihue Plantation before breaking new ground as Kauais first woman in real estate. She became a respected leader in the industry serving as president of the Kauai Board of Realtors. For more than 50 years Yoshiko devoted herself to serving others through organizations including the Zonta Club of Kauai The Salvation Army and Kauai United Way. Her lifelong commitment to giving back reflected her generous spirit and deep love for the island she called home. In 2021 Dimples was honored as one of Kauais Outstanding Older Americans by the County of Kauai Agency on Elderly Affairs. She was born in Fairview Park Ohio on August 7 1934 and was a retired professor for the University of Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her husband William Gehlke parents Herbert Alice Smith and sister Barbara Manke.
