Jeannie “GG” Menicucci Montes, 88, of Imlay, Nevada, passed away on October 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.Jeannie was born June 4, 1938, to Geno and Helena Menicucci. She grew up with six siblings and met the love of her life, Robert Montes, when she was 15 years old. Jeannie and Robert were inseparable and spent many decades together. They built their home by hand—moving each section from the railroad and piecing it together—and made their life in Imlay, Nevada, where they raised their three children.Jeannie is remembered by family and friends for her warm hospitality and the comfort of her home cooking. Generations of family fondly recall her breakfasts with homemade tortillas, and her kitchen was always a gathering place.
