Calvin Alfred Stroud passed away on February 9 2026 at the age of 89. His life was marked by hard work devotion to family and a quiet strength that carried him through every season. Alfred was born on November 14 1936 in Parks Nebraska to Alvin and Dorothy Stroud. He grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and integrityvalues that shaped the man he became. He attended schools in the Emmett Valley and was a member of the Class of 1955. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy serving until 1957. His time in the service remained a lasting source of pride and he often shared stories about the men he served with filled with camaraderie humor and respect.
