Orval J. Schlader passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born on May 15, 1932, the first child of six, born to John B. and Marie C. (Braun) Schlader. He attended school at Nezperce and graduated from Nezperce High School in 1949.He married Pauline C. Fuchs on February 18, 1952, and together they raised their 7 children on the ranch 1 ½ miles north of Nezperce. Orval loved sports and played on high school teams and town teams. Later in life he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play.Orval farmed his whole life and after the crops were all in, he kept busy doing carpentry work and plowing snow for the Highway Districts. When the work was all finished, he enjoyed getting together for a party with friends to sing and harmonize while his good friend, Fred Vogel, played songs on his guitar.Orval was a lifelong member of…
