David Edward Westenfeld, age 89, of Quincy, died on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 10:40 p.m. in Illinois Veterans’ Home.David was born on April 7, 1937, in Quincy, the son of Edward August and Elizabeth Lussmeyer Westenfeld. On October 26, 1990, he married Ruby Lee Barron Kennedy in Jacksonville, IL. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2004.David was a 1955 graduate of Quincy High School, and he attended Quincy University. He served in the United States Air Force in the Strategic Air Command until he was honorably discharged.Professionally, David was a quality auditor performing International Standards Organization audits for a wide variety of domestic and global companies.
