Carole JoAnn Moore 84 of Belvidere IL peacefully passed away on Tuesday August 18 2026 surrounded by her family at her home. The daughter of the late Ralph Leroy and Gladys Larson Hanson she was born on May 14 1942 in Strum WI. Carole graduated from Osseo High School in 1960 she then worked for General Telephone in Black River Falls WI as an operator where she met and married Ray Moore on December 1 1962. After moving to Belvidere IL Carole worked for and retired from AG Communications in Genoa IL after 25 years. Carole loved taking care of her home and yard. She worked very hard keeping everything looking nice and neat. She loved tending to her flowers and spending time with family and friends on her patio. Edward Fred Buhl 98 of Belvidere IL passed away peacefully Friday August 14 2026 surrounded by his family at UW Swedish American Hospital in Rockford IL. He was born on June 9 1928 in Belvidere IL. The son of Herman and Ella Klenzendorf Buhl. He proudly served our country as a corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Korea from July 1952November 1953. Edward married the love of his life Carol Ann Boettcher on March 14 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere IL where he was a lifelong member. He was a 75year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 working at Shappert Engineering and Meyer Material. The daughter of Charles Merle and Mildred Alice Kershaw McMarrow. Barbara married the love of her life James H. Duff on October 4 1985 in Covington KY. She was very proud to own and operate 3 Sisters Catering with her two sisters for Years. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints in Rockford a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Gahanna Historical Society. She loved crafts and putting together silk flower arrangements for the holidays. Barbara was known for being a master creator of comfort food.
