Barbara Jean DeRew was born October 3 1932 in Chicago Illinois to Robert and Marjorie Richards Bachmann. She received her early education in Chicago before her family moved to Kewanee Illinois where she graduated from Kewanee High School in 1950. Following high school Barbara pursued her passion for caring for others and attended Cottage Hospital School of Nursing in Galesburg Illinois. She graduated from the Class of 1953. While attending nursing school Barbara received the Carney Honor Award pin presented in recognition of scholarship and leadership. Barbara married William J. Lynn Cyril Johnson 75 of Geneseo passed away at his home on Tuesday August 18 2026. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held. Inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. Lynn was born on February 12 1951 in Geneseo Illinois the son of Cyril and Lola Frels Johnson. He graduated from Geneseo High School with the class of 1969. He worked as a salesclerk at various clothing stores and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo. Lynn enjoyed collecting watches and beautiful glass.

Born June 16 1932 in Ely Missouri Ruby was the daughter of Maggie and Thomas Reddick. She married George Pete Kindle on May 27 1948 and together they had three children George Pete Kindle Dixie Sarah Federick and Lena Kindle. Following Petes passing she married Richard Jacobs on September 2 2001. Ruby endured much heartache losing two husbands her twin sister teenage daughter and only son. Yet she never stopped loving giving laughing and moving forward. Family was everything to Ruby. She never turned away anyone needing a place to stay or a meal never forgot a birthday. She was a card and dice shark bargain hunter and queen of the garage sale. Many memories were made on her porch singing Elvis playing cards and sharing her fried chicken.
