Donald "Don" J. Pierce Jr. 62 years old of Lake Villa IL passed away on Sunday March 29 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family the people who meant everything to him. He was born on October 22 1963 the son of Donald J and Kathleen nee Messenger Pierce living in Mundelein IL before settling in Lake Villa IL in 1984. Don spent his career in information technology working the last 12 years at Endeavor Health. He enjoyed traveling anywhere he had a chance to visit and especially looked forward to our annual trips to Florida. No matter where it was he always had a love for trying the local cuisine. Carolyn Sue Bushing age 91 a resident of The Courtyard in McHenry IL formerly of Lake Villa IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 31 2026. Carolyn was born on August 25 1934 in Howard Township IN the daughter of the late Thomas and Roberta ne Hershberger Dazey. She was raised in Crawfordsville IN later living in the southern suburbs of Chicago before settling in Northern IL where she made her home for many years. Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for several companies retiring in 2009 from KLM Builders in Richmond IL. She was also proud to have owned and operated Dave and Carols Liquors in Round Lake IL. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail were evident throughout her career. Carolyn enjoyed golfing traveling playing cards and above all spending time with her family.
