Our beloved Amelia A. Arredondo, 90, passed away July 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 11:30 until 1:30 in Holy Cross Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30. Fr. Greg Nelson will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded, and burial of ashes will be at a later date. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.Amelia was born July 8, 1935, in Villa Guerrero, Jalisco, Mexico to Juan and Beatriz (Escatel) Arteaga. She married Alfredo Arredondo in Plainview, Texas on April 23, 1955. Amelia worked alongside Nancy Peterson for several years, while maintaining an immaculate home, caring for her husband and children. She was a master of many vocations. A fabulous cook, making hundreds of tamales during the holidays. She was an expert seamstress making clothes for her children and crafted all the quinceañera dresses for girls in…
