It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jan Mieczkowski 80 years old who is survived by Jadwiga Mieczkowska his loving daughter Katarzyna Mieczkowska his cherished grandchildren Patrick Paula and Julia Mieczkowski his sister Teresa as well as extended family and friends. Jan loved spending time with his friends and family watching soccer taking road trips and being involved in politics. He fought a long battle against cancer with the support of his family standing by his side. He has now joined his loved ones who have passed before him. Jan was the most supportive and loving person to everyone around him. His positive attitude and caring nature will never be forgotten. Bill was born in Oak Park IL to Alvin J. Kvistad and Norah P. nee Kelly the third of three brothers. He grew up in Elmwood Park IL and raised his three daughters in Palatine. In 1990 he married his soulmate Sharon Shari Ruble. Bill and Shari spent their home time in Algonquin IL and winters in Casa Grande AZ. He was an electrician a drummer loving to play 50s 60s hits for hire for fun and whenever he could sit in on a set and a yoga instructor who many know as Yoga Bill. Always friendly and generous Bill and his wife Shari had an active social life that included lots of restaurants world travel pickleball dancing and engaging in charitable causes. Brian was a graduate of Elgin high school class of 1981. He then went on to plumbing trade school and had a successful career as a plumber. Brian was a proud member of the local 130 union for over 40 years. He was a true master of his trade.
