Thomas Edward Dore of Hennepin and Scottsdale Arizona passed away on Saturday August 15 2026 at Charter House Mayo Clinic. He was born in Spring Valley Illinois to Thomas W. and Elizabeth Moews Dore. He was the great grandson of Patrick Dore. Tom was educated in the Hennepin schools. In high school he received the American Legion School Award his junior and senior years. After graduation he went to the University of Illinois. At Illinois he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. Tom was also a member of Alpha Delta Sigma a national honorary advertising fraternity and Pershing Rifles ROTC Honorary. Upon receiving his bachelors degree in marketing he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army Transportation Corps. He served two years active duty 20 months in Ludwigsburg Germany. Eugene E. Houghton 92 of Granville passed away on August 7 2026 at Goldwater Care in Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 900 to 1100 a.m. on Saturday August 15 2026 at Dysart Cofoid Funeral Chapel 208 S. McCoy St. Granville. Service will be at 1100 a.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Rev. Bill Jacobsen will officiate. Burial will be in Chillicothe Cemetery with military honors. Eugene was born on May 4 1934 in Chicago to Eugene and Dorothy Blizek Houghton. He married Patricia Jones on May 25 1956 in Chicago. He served in the United States Army and was a mail man and worked for the United States Postal Service for 32 years. Eugene loved doing magic tricks such as hand magic and card tricks.
