It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Carmela “Kim” (Bellacome) Nohe of Spencer, Indiana, on March 24, 2026. Carmela was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on September 13, 1934, to Giorlando Bellacome and Helen Martineau. Raised by her Sicilian grandparents and only speaking Italian at home, Carmela developed her lifelong love of reading when she was taken under the wing of Ms. Austen, principal of her elementary school, and taught to read during recess. Forever aware and grateful of Ms. Austen’s dedication, Carmela made excellent use of her Owen and Monroe County library cards throughout her lifetime, exhausting each library's nonfiction section. Her love of reading and respect for education influenced each subsequent generation by nurturing curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge. After graduating high school, Carmela joined the Air Force, thankful for the opportunity to serve her country and explore the world beyond Portsmouth. While…

Kevin J. Cook, 63, passed away unexpectedly on February 25th, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 11th, 1962, to Ken and Sue Cook. He lived his entire life in Bloomington.He was a 1980 graduate of Edgewood High School and a 1992 graduate of Purdue School of Pharmacy. He spent his entire career, over 35 years, with Kroger Pharmacy at the College Mall Road location.
