Josephine H. Bentkowski Dembinski 104 years old peacefully passed away on Thursday July 2 2026 at Holy Cross Long Term Care in South Bend. Josephine was born on March 12 1922 in South Bend to the late Casimer and Mary Lewandowski Bentkowski. On April 27 1946 in South Bend Josephine married the love of her life Raymond A. Dembinski who passed away in 2013. Josephine is also preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses Rose Erwin Kalka Chester Irene Bentkowski Lorraine Ted Piechocki Evelyn Leo Lyczynski and Patricia Harry Skierkowski. Left to cherish their memories of Josephine is her daughter Mary Jo Joseph Kaiser of South Bend grandson Eric Sharon Kaiser of Jackson MI greatgrandchildren Amelie Kaiser of Tucson AZ Matee Nowicki of Grand Rapids MI and Trent Nowicki of Jackson MI as well as several nieces and nephews.
